Task 2 – Past Narration

Past Narration:

Time Frame: Past tense; anything happened in the past.

Narrate a specific event in your past with a CLEAR TIME FRAME IN PAST including the words for past perfect tense and past continuing tense.

Any past event that relates to your past experience, such as how you spent the last holiday, birthday, including an event, accident, wedding, even the first day arriving at a place or the first time you met someone special to you. Ideally, the past event should be something meaningful, unforgettable, or left a deep impression on you.

Suggested Practice Method

  1. Choose one topic.
  2. Outline timeline first (When → What happened → Outcome).
  3. Highlight all time markers before speaking.
  4. Record your narration (2–3 minutes).
  5. Review for time consistency and completeness.
  6. You are highly recommended to use AI tools such as "ChatGPT" or "Doubao (豆包)" to carry out your desired speaking practice on any topic you propose.
